For years photography, that slowly started for me as a creative pastime and then became a professional occupation, has become a way of life deeply influencing my relationship to the world, and my personal life philosophy. I, as one of a whole generation, was brought up with the first steps of television. We then witnessed the disappearance of prestigious illustrated magazines such as Life or Look, and the emergence and triumph of photography as a full-fledged art medium. Photography has taught me not just to look at people and the world, but to observe them, analyze them, respond to them, and express this relationship in visual terms.
         This website is meant to be a place to present my photographs, and a forum for information, discussion, and exchange on photography.

La photographie, pour moi, a commencé comme un loisir qui, petit à petit, en fait dès sa deuxième année de pratique et alors que j'avais seulement 15 ans, est rapidement devenue une activité d'expression, d'enseignement, d'investigation du monde et de moi-même. Une bonne photographie, pour moi, et ceci n'est pas égocentrique de ma part mais prudent–il y a d'autres définitions tout aussi acceptables–, est le produit d'une maîtrise technique certaine devenue l'outil d'une expression personnelle et esthétique du et sur le monde. Elle allie document, "géographie" dirait le photographe américain Robert Adams, autobiograhie et métaphore poétique. Elle est analytique et synthétique condensant en une image à deux dimensions une multitude de couches, calques ou envelopes superposées, imbriquées. Elle permet le permanent retour d'un regard inquisiteur en lui fournissant différents points d'entrée, en ne s'ouvrant que lentement et délicatement, comme un nénuphare à la surface confondue du monde et de l'inconscient.
